About JBSS
The Journal of Behavioral and Social Sciences (JBSS) completed Volume 1, issues 1, 2, 3 and 4 in 2014. It is published quarterly, and subsequent issues continue to be published every three months by season (winter, spring, summer, and fall).
JBSS publishes articles of original research which focus on social science and behavioral science, including quantitative, qualitative, historical, and archival research methodologies. The journal is deliberately interdisciplinary but utilization of social science research methods hold the common thread for a focused readership (e.g., sociology, psychology, anthropology, education, political science, etc.).
The journal has been assigned ISSN #2375-8899 and is indexed full-text with EBSCO's Academic Search Complete, having a world-wide subscription-base of over 13,000 libraries.
Librarians may request complimentary PDF copies of a JBSS volume via e-mail when considering a potential subscription. An example of a JBSS issue can be found HERE.
JBBS accepts manuscripts year round and is independent of any particular association or conference. As such, although JBSS supports the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences, the journal publishes articles outside of the conference and association-affiliations, solicits manuscripts globally, and possess an independent editor and review board that is separate from AABSS organization. In sum, JBSS is an independent journal and publishes manuscripts submitted within and outside of AABSS contexts.
